The great man visited Southend as did his mistress Emma Hamilton who stayed in Royal Terrace in 1803 and again in 1805.

The Lord Nelson Suite consists of one room with a large double bed, a bathroom including a top of the range whirlpool bath with hand shower. The sitting room is joined to the bedroom by a short hallway and has a large sofa bed, small kitchen unit with a microwave and the necessary plates and utensils.

The Lord Nelson's facilities also include two bathrobes, bathroom scales, a shaving point and mirror, trouser press, two state of the art LCD televisions (one in each room), a playstation 2 (Guests can use their own DVDs and CDs) plus tea and coffee making equipment.

The suite would make ideal accommodation for business people (free Wi-Fi access) or for two adults and two children.

This Twin / Double room is named after Lady Hamilton the mistress of Lord Nelson who stayed in Southend for periods of a month or more in 1803 and 1805. The spacious en-suite is situated on the ground floor at the front of the property with views over Royal terrace, the pier and estuary. This elegant room features an original Georgian fire place and is full of character and charm.

Prince Regent (the future George IV) in 1809 decided that the sea air would provide a healthier environment for his wife Princess Caroline, as she had been advised to visit and bathe in the sea by her practitioner.

This double en-suite room has been lovingly restored keeping in mind the decor and the style of the Georgian period to which the building belongs to.The room has a desk and has views out to the garden and seating area.

The room is named after the Scottish engineer James Brunlees who designed the iron Pier. Work on the Pier commenced in 1887.

This single room at the front of the property has fantastic views of the famous Pier, estuary and cliffs. There is a wash basin in the room and it also has it's own bathroom with key one flight of stairs down.

This twin/double room is named after Princess Caroline who stayed in Royal Terrace during her visit to Southend after being advised to bathe in the sea by her practitioner. This beautifully refurbished relaxing blue coloured en-suite room is full of character and features it's own original Georgian fire place.

Due to the fact that the room is on the second floor and is at the front of the property fantastic views of the Pier, estuary and cliffs can be seen.
