A really good find… a fantastic guesthouse/hotel - run in a very professional, yet warm and friendly (in a non-intrusive), way. “Pier View” is situated in a pretty location that epitomises the Southend-On-Sea of old - which was a favourite holiday destination of the royals and gentry. As the name suggests, the guest house boasts wonderful views of the pier from the front rooms and the dining room balcony and is just a few steps away from the town centre, the seaside, the cliffs and all that Southend-On-Sea has to offer. The building itself has been thoughtfully restored and is decorated and furnished. (It was also very clean – which, as a person with mild OCD, is something that makes or breaks my holidays). The Findlay family have cleverly managed to create an ideal accommodation that suits both the business person and the holiday maker. Attention to detail has ensured that guests have everything they need and would expect from a high class. I stayed at Pier View with my daughter, mother and sister and we were all really impressed. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely return and also highly recommend to others.
